To Serve at the Village Altonodji

By Joel Mbainoudji, ESTES Student

My wife Florine and I are both students at the Shalom Evangelical School of Theology (ESTES) in N'djamena, the capital city of CHAD. From the Village Altonodji in the city of Moundou, we had from the Lord three children, that were two boys and a girl, but the girl went to be with the Lord in November 20, 2012, the year we entered in ESTES.

I am in the bachelor degree program, and my wife is in the women's school program where she is trained in biblical lessons as well as practical lessons such as knitting, weaving, cooking, and health. We thank the Lord because since our coming to ESTES in October  2012, our training goes well. It allows us to be with other brothers and sisters in faith and forge our friendship and collaboration in the work. This training provides knowledge that strengthens our intellectual and spiritual capacities to meet different aspects of responsibility that lie ahead in the field.

When we complete our studies at ESTES in 2015, we will be working at the Village Altonodji as chaplains. We will be charged with developing the children's' physical, intellectual, and spiritual relationships at the Village. We plan to organize events, youth camp and retreats. We also believe that there will be mingling with non-orphans. Biblical teachings and games will be organized to enable children to grow spiritually.

We ask you to support us in prayer that the Lord gives us the financial means for family care. We also need a computer to write our dissertation at the end of our studies next year. Pray with us too that the Lord helps us to cover the schooling of our children, and that the Lord gives us good health that enables us to continue our studies well.

May the Lord bless you in the name of JESUS CHRIST!
